Tomotherapy Cancer Treatment comes to Ogden Regional Medical Center

Ogden Regional Medical Center and Gamma West Cancer Services have opened a new TomoTherapy® Cancer Treatment Center in Ogden, Utah. Now, residents of Weber County and surrounding areas have local access to the most advanced radiation-therapy treatment for cancer, the Accuray TomoTherapy Hi-Art® System. Ogden Regional Medical Center is one of only five Utah hospitals and two treatment centers offering its significant capabilities and advantages to patients.

The Centers for Disease Control defines the antibiotic resistant problem as a "major blooming public health crisis." Drug resistant bacterial infections affect millions of people worldwide and cause up to 90,000 deaths and billions of dollars in health care costs each year in the United States. In Utah, antibiotic-resistant infections have become a significant threat, according to state and local health experts.
