When it comes to heart disease…we’re all about saving lives
Did you know that the most effective and potentially life-saving time to treat heart attacks is during the critical early stages? That’s why our cardiac care teams aim to significantly shorten the time it takes to accurately diagnose and treat every patient who has chest pain or other heart attack symptoms.
To better meet that goal, we enhanced our cardiac care processes to meet or exceed stringent national standards, and demonstrated a higher level of expertise when caring for patients with heart disease. As a result of that collaborative effort, Ogden Regional Hospital and six other MountainStar hospitals are the first – and currently the only – system of hospitals in Utah to become Accredited Chest Pain Centers.
So what does that mean for our patients? Simply said, when it comes to chest pain, we deliver evidence-based treatment based on the most current research and best clinical practices – fast! At every MountainStar hospital along the Wasatch Front, we’re better able to care for patients who have heart disease, reduce permanent damage to heart tissue, and save more people’s lives.
At Ogden Regional, we've established protocol-driven processes that improve patient outcomes because heart attacks are the leading cause of death in the United States. You can change that statistic too! We encourage you, your family members, friends, co-workers – you get the picture – to join our heart care teams in their life-saving efforts!
