In an effort to continue avoiding the transmission of Coronavirus, while being sensitive to patient and family needs, Ogden Regional Medical Center’s visitation guidelines are as follows:

  • The minimum age for visitors is 15 years old.
  • Emergency Department patients without COVID-19 or who are not being tested for COVID-19 may have one visitor stay with them, either in the patient’s room or in the waiting area.
  • A patient having an overnight stay in the hospital who has not been diagnosed with COVID-19 and is not being tested for COVID-19 may have one visitor per day.
  • Patients who have been diagnosed with or who are being tested for COVID-19 are not allowed to have visitors. However, we understand the importance of loved ones to someone in the hospital and we encourage use of our electronic visitation options. For more information, contact: (801) 479-2140.
  • Patients having outpatient or surgical procedures:
    • May bring one support person with them who can wait in the hospital as long as they can maintain a social distance of 6 feet from others and wear a mask continually while in the hospital. Be advised that some of our waiting areas are small, and will not accommodate large numbers of people, so we recommend making other arrangements for waiting. We are happy to notify the patient’s support person when the procedure is complete so they can return to the hospital.
    • For patients having a procedure that will require an overnight stay, the support person may wait in the patient’s room, if it is available.
  • Visitors must be in good health. Visitors with fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of respiratory illness will not be allowed to visit until they are well.
  • Visitors will be asked to complete a screening at the hospital’s entrance that will consist of answering questions related to symptoms of respiratory illness and a temperature check. Visitors with respiratory symptoms or a temperature of 100.4 or over will not be allowed to visit.
  • All persons in the hospital are asked to ensure a social distance of 6 feet or more from others.
  • All visitors are asked to wash or sanitize hands with an alcohol-based sanitizer before entering the facility, and before and after being in patient rooms.
  • Visitors are asked to wear face coverings while in the hospital. This can be a simple mask or a cloth mask. If a visitor doesn’t have a mask, one will be provided for them.
  • Family Birth Place patients may have two people with them (must be the same two people) for their entire stay. Pediatric and NICU patients are allowed to have both parents present at any time.
  • There may be special circumstances that require visiting outside of these guidelines. We will work on an individual basis to accommodate those needs.
